About the seminar
Friends, we invite you to a seminar with Tanya Piven, the first in a series devoted to Tibetan Buddhism.
Two days and 12 hours of live contact with a muse and source of inspiration await you! Plus a magical yoga nidra, meditations and a chance to ask questions and get answers.
It is not possible to register for individual sessions of the seminar.
Questions we will discuss
- What is the source of Buddhism? Is it a single source or are there several different ones?
- What is the goal of Buddhism? Are there other teachings that lead to the same goal by a different path? What happens after the goal is reached?
- Is the goal individual or collective? That is, can it be reached alone or together?
- What are the main paths to the goal in Buddhism? How long does it take?
- Are there historical examples of followers who reached the goal of Buddhism? How many? Which path did they follow? Where did they live and what kind of life did they lead?
- Is a special way of life needed to reach the goal within one lifetime?
- Do the path of faith and the path of logical understanding differ in Buddhism? Are they united within the teaching? If so, do they meet when reaching the same goal?
- Why did people joining the Buddhist community once have to answer the question “Are you a human being?” How would we answer it now? Has anything changed since the time of Buddha Shakyamuni? What is the right answer within Buddhism, and why?
- Why does Buddhism hold that it is much harder for women to reach the goal than for men? Are there historical precedents of women reaching it? How many? Has this attitude to women changed now, and if so, why?
