Dear friends!

I invite you to a psychological workshop (a weekend seminar in Kyiv) — we will start with the topic “The Boundaries of My Personality”. Let this be module 1 of my new psy-experimentarium programme.

We will have ideal conditions and the right topic to start or continue getting to know psy-technologies of self-diagnosis and self-help.

Experience has shown that two days on one topic followed by two weeks of support in a closed Facebook group is an excellent start that meets the needs of both experienced explorers of their own mind and those just beginning this fascinating path.

Why this topic?

As experience in psychotherapy shows, this is where everything begins… Discoveries, insights, ways out of closed triangles, getting to know — or even meeting for the first time — your true, living and honest self.

Who is this workshop for?

I would say everyone. Especially those who are tired and feel exhausted and “burnt out”, who want to improve their quality of life, who blame others or are full of guilt, who seem to be living someone else’s life and would like to live their own but “don’t even know where to start” or “don’t know what I want”.

What it will be like

  • a safe atmosphere that guarantees confidentiality
  • a theoretical part
  • and lots of practice!

For two days we will be deeply immersed, and then for two weeks we will stay in touch in a closed Facebook group. This is optional, but participants of previous workshops asked for it: you will probably be “catching up with insights” and want to share with those who “get it”, with whom you have already shared the experience of taking off masks, trust and openness.

How deep will it go? Exactly as deep as you are ready to dive into your own depths or jump into the rabbit hole of your soul. I will be beside you and, if needed, give support, acceptance, love, resource, silence or important words.

What there will not be

  • advice on how to live, answers to “who is to blame and what to do”
  • ready-made instructions, solutions, technologies and other crutches

What to bring

A notebook and a pen.

Please be on time and tune in to clarity, openness, presence and contact (with yourself first of all, and then as the group dynamics unfold).

About Tanya Piven (an outside view)

She has practised yoga since 1999 and taught since 2000. She is the main muse and co-founder of the Kyiv Yoga Studio (Kyiv) and an internationally certified yoga teacher (diploma of the International Yoga Federation). In 2003 she became world champion in yoga sport in Portugal in the artistic yoga category.

She started practising with Andrii Sidersky, who gave her a foundation in asana alignment and the theory of yoga practice, and then followed her own path of development, in which Buddhism took the central place. First it was the Vipassana tradition: after completing her first five 10-day courses, Tanya organised the first visits of Vipassana teachers (in the tradition of S. N. Goenka) to Ukraine. She combined intensive practice and teaching yoga seminars with daily Vipassana meditation and with tai chi chuan (she knows the Wu, Chen and Yang styles well).

After meeting her Teacher, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, in 2006, Tanya moved to Kathmandu (Nepal) to receive precious teachings in an authentic setting. From 2008 to 2016 she lived permanently in Kathmandu, near the Great Stupa of Boudhanath. There she earned a second degree at Kathmandu University at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, a bachelor’s in Buddhist Studies and Himalayan Languages. She also completed an intensive one-year course in translation (direct translation of Buddhist teachings from Tibetan into English).

While living in Kathmandu and returning to Ukraine from time to time, Tanya taught many seminars in different countries (Nepal, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany). In 2016 she returned to Ukraine, where she is experiencing motherhood and intensively studying various methods of psychotherapy and Human Design.

In her classes and seminars Tanya teaches not only asanas (working in flow, keys to alignment and the geometry of asanas) but also Buddhist meditation. Her main attitudes to practice are “Effort without violence” and “Joyful diligence” (that is, following the middle way). She also generously shares exercises and frameworks from psychology and coaching, teaching methods of self-help and self-healing.
